Based in Los Angeles, California, Gerardo became known for his bandana, skintight jeans, locking, and shirtless torso. He sometimes refers to himself as the "Latin Elvis", the "LatinFrank Sinatra" or the Latin "Tony Zuzio" or "Joe Rider". He is also an actor, known for Santa Barbara (1984), Colors (1988) and Can't Buy Me Love (1987).
