She first appeared as a child in Le Procès de Sainte-Thérèse de l’Enfant Jésus (1961) and went on to play several notable roles in literary and historical adaptations. She portrayed Goneril in King Lear (1965), Madame Du Plessis in Roberto Rossellini’s The Taking of Power by Louis XIV (1966), Jane in The Invention of Morel (1967), and Hester Prynne in Marcel Cravenne’s The Scarlet Letter (1977).
